Long Time Has Passed
13:20 Friday 13. August 2004

There is another site update after longer period of time. I added page about Vide (Pascal IDE) project to Projects section and some new information is available on MiniLZO for Delphi/Kylix. You can also vote in new poll.

TerrainDemo can now handle more materials, but some things still need to be implemented. I am now very busy working on Ufo: Extraterrestrials, so I have no time to work on TerrainDemo and Numalian Engine. Release dates of new versions are very uncertain at the moment...

Small Update
12:09 Friday 14. May 2004

Page about Numalian Engine in Projects was updated to refer to the latest version 00.02.0264. Some my images were added to Gallery (see the beast at the bottom of this page) and some other small changes were made.

Vide project fairly advanced (and will andvance further because I must commit wouldbe finished version next week). Many ideas had to be thrown away to catch the deadline but I will work on it in future also and as soon as I have some time I will add it here to Projects. Meanwhile look at the simple screenshot from the early version.

Exams are going to start again soon so for about month nothing here will be updated. After that I would like to finally finish new Terrain Demo which should be finished in March. One whole free week should be enough to complete it, but I don't have it. I am also planning to start project at Source Forge for Numalian Engine and when the renderer will be implemented make Drake Rider 2 to test usability of engine (before we start RPG).

12:06 Tuesday 04. May 2004

New version of Numalian Engine can be found in Downloads. It is only minor release and contains only few additions. Mainly changes to work under Linux again. Page about engine in Projects will be updated next week along with some other changes.

Numalin Engine version 00.02.0208
15:02 Tuesday 09. March 2004

New version of Numalian Engine can be downloaded in Downloads section. It contains many new features compared to 01 version and source code is about 900 KB big. Unfortunately I have not managed to update Projects section yet. I will update it with information about 02 version on Thursday 11st March.

I am going to start new project. I have to create some closing project for Application and user interface development course so I decided to create IDE for Pascal (mainly for Free Pascal). So when I start with it I add it to Projects section.

I was surprised when on 28th February our site hits increased to about 1000%. As I found out later it was caused by report about us on Delphi Gamer.

At last: gallery added
08:59 Tuesday 24. February 2004

I finally created some sort of gallery. Nothing large but it suits our needs (anyway, we have about only 20 MB free on server so we must keep it smaller).

Terrain Demo

If you do not believe, look at this screenshot or you can look right here Gallery.

Otherwise nothing special happened: I removed dependency on VCL from new Terrain Demo and now I am going to add support for more materials on terrain (I will use texture splatting). Then I put this new version (along with new version of Numalian Engine) here but I have some further plans with it.

Work in progress
15:21 Tuesday 10. February 2004

Exams are moreless successfuly behind us, so there will be some time for projects again. Work on new Terrain Demu is in progress and it looks very promising. Continuous Level Of Detail is finished (I am using Geo Mipmapping). It works well and mainly fast (with disabled objects on 1024x1024 sized map FPS does not drop below 100 on my scrap). But many things still need to be implemented. Meanwhile few screenshots at least:

I can also recommend voting in our poll beacause there will be no new questions until there are about n votes in current poll.

Finished!
09:01 Tuesday 06. January 2004

Our old site was today officialy replaced by this new one. Some little things will be finished after exams but with except for gallery nothing visible. Old site is still accessible at address http://www.vampyre.wz.cz/oldsite, but most of information there is about year old.

Terrain Demo

We recommend visiting Projects section simply because there is nothing much more to see. In recent times there were some additions like new Terrain Demo, JPEG Ripper, MiniLZO for Delphi and something about Daggerfall.

You can expect next news sometimes in February after exams (whether they will be successful or not).

It will be finished soon (I hope), another time
12:06 Thursday 11. December 2003

When I started work on Projects section it hit me again and I started writting new version of Terrain demo. I think I overdid it a little because my CPU collapsed and now I am dependent on 266 Mhz notebook. Because there is nothing decent I can do with it I can finish these pages at least. There is even chance that it will be finished next week. But there is a small problem - Pypka has to make new Admin and Login which coul take years...

It will be finished soon (I hope)
11:20 Saturday 15. November 2003

It has been about six months since the last update of our site and something has to be done about it. I have started working on these pages again and I hope it will last for some time.

Debug version of new site online
14:44 Monday 12. May 2003

New version of Vampyre SoftWorks homepage is online. It is only testing version so there is not much to see. Only News, Team and Admin sections are functional. If you are member of our team you can log in and tune some your settings.
